Sponsoring Lashings World XI

On Sunday 6th July, Lashings World XI played Reigate Priory Cricket Club in a charity cricket match. Lashings has raised huge amounts for charities such as Cystic Fibrosis, MENCAP and Our Forgotten Children in the past, and brings much enjoyment to local and international cricket clubs by fielding cricketing legends such as Brian Lara and Richie Richardson. Convergent sponsored this event, which provided much fun for everyone present, and was certainly a worthy cause.

In this endeavour, Lashings teamed up with the charity, Chance to Shine, whose aim to bring cricket into state schools has achieved huge successes, raising £12million to date. We know Convergent’s sponsorship will be used to make a difference by this charity. Sporting opportunities play a vital role in teaching children discipline and the value of teamwork; this is particularly true of cricket. These skills play a vital role in readying children for many aspects of their future lives.
